Waking up early is not everyone’s cup of tea. There are always, various reasons that keeps you up late at night. Sometimes it’s work, girlfriend, PUBG, Netflix or just overthinking.
They say it takes twenty one days to form a habit and they are absolutely right.
But waking up early is an art in itself and here are some ways you can learn and follow it for the rest of your life.
1. Sleep early
Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man (and a woman) healthy, wealthy and wise.
This saying goes all the way on the ‘so freaking true’ road. You need to go to the bed early to be able to wake early. Isn’t that obvious?
You can’t have a five hours sleep and expect to get a habit of waking up early because these small and tiring sleeps will make you cranky and force you to go back to that old sleeping pattern without a doubt.
2. 15 minutes mock runs
You have a habit of waking up at eight and suddenly you decide to wake up at six and have a lethargic rest of the day is not how you will learn the art of waking up early.
You should start by waking up fifteen minutes earlier than usual and start doing this one week and then increase it the next and increase accordingly like that.
You will obviously suffer withdrawals, you will sleep off a few days but don’t go back into that pattern.
3. Morning routine
If you make a routine for the morning, like a plan of things you can do in the morning.
Making tea, working out, making breakfast, maybe a lunchbox for work or college or reading books (I mean a few pages), take time to get ready, hair make-up, closet prep, workout, do some yoga etc.
Also, make sure you have a fun type routine or it won’t excite you to wake up early.
4. Leave the bedroom
Leave your goddamned bedroom for at least a few minutes after sleeping. Because the bed and you are super intimate in the first few minutes when you wake up.
It will call you back and you will happily let it, and this makes you weak. So just leave it, break up for a few minutes and walk away. Don’t look back.
And if you share your room with someone and the other person is sleeping, then you should definitely leave because you are for sure going back to sleep.
5. ‘Get to’ attitude
Always have positive attitude towards waking up. If you don’t feel excited for the day when you wake up, there is no way in hell you will learn the art of waking up early.
You should be happy for the new day, that’s when you’ll feel like waking up early and starting early.
List down all the benefits of waking up early, list down all the things you can get done if you wake up early and it will inspire you.
6. Don’t snooze
You know yourself too well that you can’t freaking snooze and be able to wake up on time. Don’t go with twenty alarms to help you wake up.
set one single alarm and wake the very first time. Because you can snooze the shit forever and you won’t be able to wake up on time, ever.
Your mind will start to ignore alarms all together after one time then it will be even more difficult for you to learn the art of waking up early.
This is officially the most annoying alarm application ever.
In this application, you can click a picture far away from your bedroom such as your bathroom, kitchen or the balcony to prove that you’re up and out of your bed. It won’t stop ringing until you click the picture of that place.
And then there is the shake mode where it will give you the physical exertion so that all your sleep goes away.
It also includes simple to difficult math problems to wake your clumsy brain up right away.
There you go, these are all the amazing ways you can use in order to learn the beautiful art of waking up early in the morning.
