This article will help you to quit your boring job once and for all and send that resignation letter to your manager.
My friend took 2 years to finally quit a job which she never liked in the first place. You can’t even imagine how many Indian employees die each year without even trying to follow their passion.
I also understand that it can sometimes be difficult to quit your boring job but here are 7 ways you can follow to find the guts.
1. Planning And Cutting Down
You need to see all the scenarios before taking such a big decision but you should always start with what is the worst thing that could happen?
Take a look at your daily schedule, think about all the things you use or need every week, and also, check with your bank balance.
See that what all you might need to cut out, how long you will be able to survive while following your passion or during a job hunt.
2. Trust Your Gut
Your gut never lies to you, there is an inner voice in the back of your head that gives you an immediate reaction or answer to any situation you are in.
So, if you ask yourself do you need to quit this current job because it is boring and somewhere inside you comes a voice saying, Yes.
Then don’t try to reason with it, instead trust your gut and follow it.
3. Believe In What You Love
We all have something that we have always wanted to do.
Something we love to do and would love to do it for a living but we don’t have enough faith in that thing or ourselves for that matter.
Everyone decides to do what the majority is doing because that way we won’t be judged and the route seem secured. So, we follow the same path as sheep.
If you love what you do, then just take that leap of faith and see where it lands you. At least, you can say that you tried.
4. Example To Quit Your Boring Job
No, I am not going to give you an example of people who let go of their boring jobs and became successful.
I am asking you to be an example for all those out there who are in a similar situation like you.
People who are stuck in the society same as you and are afraid to let go. Who is playing it safe for so long that it has made them bitter?
Do this for yourself and become an example for others like you.
5. Living In The Present
Boredom is that worst feeling in the world and believe me, it won’t take much time for it to turn into a hateful feeling.
You will start hating your co-workers and everything will become really dull and repetitive. Then comes the worst part, you start questioning your self-worth?
But I am sure you don’t want your happiness to fade away so get out when you can.
Living at the moment instead of worrying about what will happen tomorrow is what life is about.
6. Risk You Take To Quit Your Boring Job
Yes, I won’t lie to you. The risk factor is huge because you don’t know where life will take you.
Your life will change at a large scale but at least you will be happy, right?
You will wake up every morning and not cringe about going to work and finally do what you love.
It might be difficult to just get up one day, quit and not have anything to look forward to.
But that same risk will give you a sense of satisfaction that you have the guts, you have what it takes to follow your passion.
7. Break Of Comfort Zone
Like I said, your life will change suddenly. You will have all sorts of uncomforting thoughts and situations that you will end up in.
But you will have to find your comfort in those uncomfortable situations because that is what will make you stronger every day till your life is all settled in.
It will make you more adaptable to problem solving and with every obstacle that will come your way, you will find it easier to get through it.
These are some things you must keep in your mind in order to find the guts to quit your boring job.
Nobody said it will be easy but nobody said it will be difficult and you won’t find out until you decide to take a stand for yourself.
You have to write your own story with a happy journey, not how you cringed about every Monday because you hated your job.
Remember, If you need motivation to do something you love. Then you don’t lack motivation, you lack courage.
